Travis Burch

Partner

Mr. Burch is partner at Shalchi Burch LLP.  Since 2001, Mr. Burch has taken over 60 matters to verdict by both jury and bench trials.  He has also litigated numerous arbitration proceedings in various forums.  His primary focus is intellectual property litigation, employment law, and business disputes involving fraud, breach of contract claims, breach of fiduciary duties, business valuations, shareholder and derivative suits.  Regardless of whether it is a scorched earth, bet the company, or plain vanilla business dispute, Mr. Burch always brings a businessman’s pragmatism to bear.  His client-centric orientation results in a custom-tailored approach to litigation, driven by the financial realities of each case instead of driving up billable hours.

Mr. Burch holds an “AV” preeminent peer rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer recognition for legal ability and ethical standards.  Mr. Burch also has been repeatedly recognized by his peers for professional achievement as one of Super Lawyers “Rising Stars”, comprising the top 2.5% of practicing attorneys in Southern California.  Finally, he was selected as a “Top Lawyers of Orange County” for litigation by OCR Metro in September 2014.

When not toiling in the vineyards of justice, Mr. Burch may be found playing chess, traveling, coaching his two sons’ teams, or otherwise spending time with his family.  He maintains an active presence helping an Orange County based non-profit called Stopb4uStart, which seeks to keep adolescents and teens from the perils of drug and alcohol addiction, as well as bullying.
